What's inside, and why

Three real choices that make this bar work

Every protein bar is a series of decisions. Here are the three that matter most.

Dates, not syrups
The sweetness

Dates, not syrups

Whole fruit · fibre intact · no sugar alcohols

Most protein bars are sweetened with maltitol, sucralose, or other fructose syrups. We sweeten with whole dates. Real fruit, with the fibre that naturally comes with it.

That's part of why each bar lands at 8g of fibre instead of the 1-2g you'll find in bars that use isolated sugars. It's also why these don't have the sweet, processed aftertaste most protein bars carry.

No sugar alcohols · No sucralose · No maltitol

Chicory root fibre, not isolated fibre
The fibre

Chicory root fibre, not isolated fibre

Prebiotic · backed by research · feeds the good bacteria

Most bars hit their fibre numbers with isolated soluble fibres added to the mix. We use chicory root fibre, also called inulin.

Inulin is one of the most well-researched prebiotic fibres in nutrition science. It feeds the beneficial bacteria in your gut, supports digestion, and helps moderate how your body absorbs sugar. It's the same fibre that nutritionists recommend you eat more of through whole foods like leeks, onions, and artichokes.

Most protein bars settle for added fibre on the label. We chose the one with a real research base behind it.

~7g chicory fibre per bar · from real plant sources · not lab-isolated

Complete protein from Irish grass-fed dairy
The protein

Complete protein from Irish grass-fed dairy

All nine essential amino acids · primarily from dairy · grass-fed year-round

Our lead protein is Irish grass-fed milk protein, delivering all nine essential amino acids in the ratios your body actually uses. The rest comes naturally from the nuts and cocoa in the recipe.

Most bars build their protein from cheaper isolate blends, plant proteins, or soy. The result is often higher on the label but lower in real biological value. We start from one high-quality dairy source and let the whole-food ingredients do the rest.

What it tastes like

The Peanut Choc Chip Protein Bar combines roasted peanuts with real Belgian cocoa mass for a richer, more indulgent flavour. Irish milk protein provides high-quality protein, while dates and grape juice concentrate keep sweetness natural and controlled.

Chicory root fibre helps maintain texture and fibre content, making the bar filling without being heavy. Finished with natural vanilla and Irish sea salt, it delivers a familiar chocolate-peanut combination with clean ingredients.

A high-protein bar that feels like a treat but works as everyday fuel.

Behind the wrapper

It composts in 26 weeks. Then it's gone.

Most protein bars are wrapped in plastic that outlives you. Ours is TÜV Austria home compostable, so it breaks down in a garden bin in around 26 weeks. It costs us roughly five times what conventional film does, and it shortens our shelf life.

We think both trade-offs are worth it. A bar that disappears properly is the whole point.

Does this flavour contain nuts or allergens?

Contains milk and peanuts. Always check the label for the most up-to-date allergen information.

Are All Real protein bars easy on digestion?

A lot of protein bars cause bloating because they rely on sugar alcohols and artificial sweeteners. All Real bars don’t use those. They’re sweetened with fruit and include fibre, so they tend to be a more stomach-friendly option, though everyone’s tolerance is different.

Are All Real protein bars vegetarian or vegan?

All Real bars are vegetarian, but they are not vegan. We use grass-fed Irish milk protein, so the bars contain dairy. If you avoid dairy, always check the ingredients and allergen info for the specific flavour.

What makes All Real a natural protein bar?

We use simple ingredients you’d recognise as food: Irish grass-fed milk protein, nuts, cocoa, dates and grape juice for sweetness, plus fibre from chicory root. We don’t use artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols (polyols), palm oil, hydrogenated fats, or glucose syrup.

Can you eat protein bars every day?

You can, as long as it fits your overall diet. Our bars are designed as a snack, not a meal replacement, and they’re portioned at around 180 calories. Many people use them daily as a convenient way to add protein and fibre alongside whole foods.

Where do you ship to and how long does delivery take?

We ship quickly and delivery times depend on your location.
